The YSAA believes that the sport of Yoga Asana will inspire many yoga practitioners to improve their practices and encourage many newcomers to take up a personal yoga practice.
YSAA seeks to become the national governing body for the sport of Yoga Asana. YSAA’s goal is to join with similar organisations in other countries to form an international yoga federation and to qualify Yoga Asana as an Olympic sport.

The 2012-2013 Australian Regional Yoga Asana Championships will be held on February 10, 2013 at the Gold Coast Arts Centre in Surfers Paradise.
